Downloading Tachograph Data required by Law

The Regulation (EU) 2016/799 implementing Regulation 165/2014 on tachographs came into effect on 15 June 2019. Since that date, all new registered vehicles over 3.5 tonnes have been fitted with an Intelligent Tachograph, which incorporates new features. This new European Regulation is designed to improve road safety and ensure that social regulations are observed, in order to regulate competition within the European market. Security has also been tightened in order to prevent any fraudulent manipulation of digital tachographs.
